GerbViewTM is an advanced yet simple-to use application that allows you to view/print and convert Gerber and ODB++ files, as well as Adobe PDF, Excellon or HPGL/2.
GerbView supports both RS-274D Gerber formats. You can also use it to convert Gerber files from older formats to the new RS-274X extended format. This extended Gerber format includes embedded aperture information. It will make it easier to avoid errors when manufacturing the PCB.
GerbView’s PDF-to-CAD capability allows you to convert Adobe PDF files into Gerber or Autodesk FXF.
Gerbview lets you visualize your design either on the screen or in print. Your true design is now available online. Use the precise measure and query tool to verify apertures, tools, distances, etc.
In GerbView you work with a workspace that can contain one or more files of the supported file formats. The workspace can also be saved for future use. The workspace can be saved to link to your design file. You will only need to reload workspace file to view the entire design.
Add markup elements, such as text or barcodes, images, lines, ellipses, polygons or arrows to the workspace. All markup elements can easily be burned in and made part of a Gerber Layer. This feature makes it easy to add text and barcode images to layers.
GerbView is able to rasterize single files or entire workspaces. It can also save to any of the supported raster format.
You can print in scaled or real size. You can print with all Windows-based plotters or printers. Poster mode, also called tiled pages or poster mode, is used to print large designs on several smaller A4/Letter sheets.
Software Companions GerbView consists of the following features:
- View, print, edit, markup and convert Gerber and Adobe PDF to Excellon, ODB++, Gerber and HPGL/2 (PLT).
- Convert your Gerber, Excellon, ODB++ and HPGL/2 files to Autodesk DXF, Adobe PDF and other formats.
